- La Boca: Spanish tapas dinner
SUNDAY MAY 15TH
- Georgia O’Keefe Museum: small museum, but did a good job showcasing her work throughout her entire life
- Santa Fe Plaza: full of great artsy shops
- La Fonda Hotel: amazing lunch in the historic restaurant’s interior courtyard; probably the best sandwich I have ever had
- New Mexico History Museum: I hardly knew anything about New Mexico, so there was a lot to learn
- Palace of the Governors: Native American vendors program that supports local artists
- Loretto Chapel: home of the miraculous staircase, which some say was built by St. Joseph; the staircase is 22 feet tall and makes a 360 degree turn with no visible supports
- St. Francis Basilica Church
- Blue Corn Brewery: mainly a restaurant, but they do brew their own beer
- Second Street Brewery: smaller brewery in an industrial urban area that had live music; the food was also amazing: green chili burgers, clams, and crawfish
WEDNESDAY MAY 18TH
- Bandelier National Monument: we were able to climb ladders and view into the cliff dwellings, which are called “caveats”
- Palacio Cafe: small little place with good sandwiches and green chili stew
- Canyon Road: Santa Fe is known for having tons of art galleries, and this is one of the main streets for them
- Meow Wolf: it’s hard to describe, but simply put, it’s an interactive art exhibit
- Tomasita’s: located in the Railyard Arts District, this huge restaurant was crazy busy, proof of how great the food was
