Grand Canyon, AZ

SATURDAY MAY 21ST

  • South Kaibab Trail: (3 hours) considered a “moderate” hike, we took the trail down to Oo-Aah Point and Cedar Ridge Point; the 300 degree views were spectacular
  • Mather Point: located on the South Rim, this viewing point had some stepped seating where we sat and ate lunch
  • South Rim: a flat paved trail along the Grand Canyon’s edge
  • Bright Angel Trail: (2 hours) a “moderate” hike, we went to the lower tunnel and back
  • Pima Point: fantastic views of the Canyon and Colorado River that runs through it
  • El Tovar Lodge: during dinner we watched the sun set over the Canyon; the food was average, but the experience was lovely
