New York, NY

FRIDAY JUNE 3RD

  • 9/11 Memorial
  • One World Trade Center / SOM
  • World Trade Center Transportation Hub / Santiago Calatrava
  • Chelsea Market: one of the best places to eat in NYC, but be prepared to have a hard time deciding what you want with so many choices
  • Magnolia Bakery: their icebox cake will always be my favorite
  • Carolines on Broadway: comedy club located near Times Square; we were lucky enough to see Tracy Morgan

SATURDAY JUNE 4TH

  • Blue Bottle Coffee: thanks to Connor, I finally understood why this is the best coffee place in the city
  • The High Line: one of the world’s most famous urban parks, it is as great as everyone says it is
  • 520 W 28th St. / Zaha Hadid: prime real estate condos right by the High Line
  • 432 Park Avenue / Vinoly
  • Seagram Building / Mies van der Rohe
  • Lever House / SOM
  • Central Park

SUNDAY JUNE 5TH

  • Morristown, NJ: visited Connor for the day and was amazed to see how a small town (when compared to NYC just an hour away) could be so incredibly diverse

MONDAY JUNE 6TH

  • Greenwich Village: found a walking guide online, and explored this part of the city for a few hours
  • Washington Square Park: right in the heart of NYU, this park has my favorite fountain in NYC, mainly because you can get inside of it
