New York, NY

WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 21ST

  • Via 57 West / Bjarke Ingles: one of BIG’s first projects in the states and dubbed a “courtscraper”; however, there’s not much to see if you aren’t a resident and can’t get a view of the interior courtyard
  • High Line: a touristy destination that lives up the the hype, this 1.5 mile walk is a great pedestrian-friendly way to see the city
  • 520 W 28th Street Condominiums / Zaha Hadid
  • Whitney Museum of American Art: eight story art museum with fantastic views of the city and artwork that looks at American culture in an interesting perspective
  • DŌ, Cookie Dough Confections: I saw this place on Instagram a few months ago and had to try it since I was in the city. Their cookie dough tastes just like what you would make at home, but served in a more marketable package
  • Washington Square Park: due to the fact that it was 70 degrees in February, tons of people were hanging out at the park enjoying the sunny day
  • Everlane: a new clothing line dedicated to producing ethical clothing at a reasonable price, their clothes are simple and classic
  • Oculus (NYC Path Train) / Santiago Calatrava
  • 9/11 Memorial
